InuYasha: The Final Act

"Naraku's Heart"
"Naraku no shinzō" (奈落の心臓)

Hakudoshi plots with Kagura and Goryamaru to bring down Naraku. Meanwhile, Naraku is aware of their betrayal through Kanna's Mirror. As part of the deal with Hakudoshi, Kagura is supposed to get the Sacred Jewel out of Kohaku's neck, but Kagura is moved by Kohaku's search for revenge and allows him to escape. Having betrayed Hakudoshi as well, Hakudoshi tries to kill her but she is saved by Inuyasha. As Hakudoshi fights Inuyasha, the poison insects come to his rescue. However, Naraku, having had enough of Hakudoshi, abandons him and Hakudoshi is sucked in by Miroku's Wind Tunnel.

"Kagura's Wind"
"Kagura no kaze" (神楽の風)
Having been saved by Inuyasha and his friends, Kagura tries to escape Naraku and he offers to return her heart to her. Meanwhile, Kikyo summons the soul of Midoriko to restore her powers. She explained to InuYasha that to destroy Naraku, his soul must be purified. Koga completes a series of trials to obtain the Goraishi, a treasure of his clan. While Sesshomaru battles Moryomaru, Naraku returns Kagura's heart, then immediately impales her on his tendrils, injecting her with miasma and leaving her on the brink of death. She manages to float away on a feather, landing in a meadow filled with flowers, where she listens to her newly-returned heart beat in her chest. Sensing Kagura's blood, Sesshomaru quickly finishes his battle, shattering his sword in the process. He finds Kagura in the field just as she dies, smiling. Her body dissolves into dust and floats away on the wind.

"Meido Zangetsuha"
"Meidō Zangetsuha" (冥道残月破)
Totosai approaches Sesshomaru and tells him that he can now reforge the Tenseiga into an offensive weapon. Inuyasha's group find a temple where fox demons play tricks on others to try to advance in demon rank. After accidentally entering the test, Shippo plays tricks on Inuyasha, who clobbers him. Shippo retreats into the forest where he meets a girl named Mujina whose sword can absorb the demonic energy of Inuyasha's Tetsusaiga. She uses the energy to attack him, but her will is too weak and she is defeated. Meanwhile, Sesshomaru learns the Meido Zangetsuha technique, which cuts a small path to the netherworld and sends ones opponent there directly. In the present, Kagome's grandfather tells her that the Sacred Jewel can only be erased from the world if one makes the right wish.

"Dragon-Scaled Tetsusaiga"
"Ryūrin no Tessaiga" (竜鱗の鉄砕牙)
InuYasha's group rescue a swordsmith named Toshu from the demon Ryujin, who is angered that Toshu has not completed crafting Dakki, a sword designed to absorb other's demonic energy. Toshu later uses the sword to absorb Ryujin's power, then battles Inuyasha and steals the demonic energy from Tetsusaiga. However, the demonic energy is too powerful and kills him. The energy of the sword returns to Tetsusaiga, giving it the ability to absorb demonic energy. Meanwhile, a wolf-demon named Kai tricks Koga into helping him, seeking a jewel shard to rescue his younger brother from the demon Byakuya, one of Naraku's detachements.

"The Great Holy Demon Spirit’s Test"
"Yōrei Taisei no shiren" (妖霊大聖の試練)
With Tetsusaiga's new power, Toto-sai sends InuYasha to a demon hermit named Yorei-Taisei to train so he can use it without it backfiring. When InuYasha reaches the village, he undergoes a test by the hermit designed to help InuYasha discover the existence of whirlpools of demonic energy that InuYasha can cut to defeat his enemies. Meanwhile, Moryomaru devours two demon twins and obtains their abilities.
